Boeing sees 16 million gallons of renewable jet fuel capacity by 2015

In Washington state, Boeing says it hopes 1% of all jet fuel —or 16 million gallons—will be made from biofuels by 2015 but that it will take a lot of work to get there. Many different sources and processes for the fuels will be needed, Boeing said, not just to meet demand but so that airports around the world have a nearby source of fuel that can be had at a competitive price.
