Biofuels Digest Index downshifts to 89.17 despite Aventine surge

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, slipped 0.32 percent to 89.17. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) gained 0.45 percent to $37.65, while Aventine Renewables (AVR) gained 7.62 percent to $28.25. Among other equities, Amyris (AMRS) slumped 4.48 percent to close at $30.28. Overall, declines led advances 2 to 1 for the day.
