Biofuels Digest Index slumps to 87.83 as global equities dive

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, slumped another 1.15 percent to 87.83 as global equity sentiments waned in the wake of the Japanese nuclear crisis. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) fell 2.99 percent to $34.44, while Cosan (CZZ) dropped 4.82 percent to $12.23. Among other equities, Gevo (GEVO) gained 0.70 percent to $18.61. Overall, declines led advances 8 to 3 for the day.
