In Germany, a group of Sudanese officials, including Awad Ahmed Eljazz, Sudanese Industry Minister, along with other representatives from both Sudan and India, toured the Walkers Foundry to see the progress on a $25 million sugar mill machinery contract.

The group toured both the Bundaberg Walkers Engineering Foundry and Millaquin Mill.  Brad Royan, Bundaberg Walkers Engineering sales engineer stated that the work was on track for their first shipment to the new sugar factory along the White Nile in Central Sudan, to happen in late March.

The equipment is part of a $1 billion project for the production of 100,000 tonnes of animal feed, 100MWe electricity, 45 million liters of ethanol, and 450,000 tonnes of sugar per year.
