ADM Agri-Industries to double canola receiving capacity

March 28, 2011 |

In Canada, ADM Agri-Industries, a wholly owned subsidiary of Archer Daniels Midland Company is doubling canola seed receiving capabilities and storage capacity at the company’s Lloydminster, Alberta, processing facility. The project includes the construction of five new storage bins and a second receiving system, which is expected to significantly reduce unloading times for area farmers.

Reportedly, the Lloydminster facility exports their products to Asia for human consumption and to Europe as biodiesel feedstock.  The expansion project will begin this spring pending permit approvals and should be completed in the fourth quarter of this year.
