Volvo adds ethanol-powered heaters to electric SUVs

In Sweden, Volvo is equipping its new electric SUVs, the C30, with engine heaters run on ethanol to help warm up ambient temperatures for the electric engines to make sure they’re running at top speed. Volvo also came up with new test methods for its EVs, making sure that they will be able to run smoothly even in temperatures as low as -20° Celsius (-4° F).
