Nanoparticles make better biodiesel: research

April 11, 2011 |

Energy concluded that the addition of alumina nanoparticles can increase the combustion rate and efficiency of biodiesel.

The nanoparticles act as a chemical catalyst for better combustion, while the particles improve the fuel-air mixture and encourage a more complete burn, while producing less nitrous oxide and carbon monoxide.
