Biofuels Digest Index drops to 90.51 as ethanol plummets

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, continued a dismal week by dropping 1.09 percent to 90.51 as shareholders pummeled ethanol stocks. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) fell 1.84 percent to $34.05, while The Andersons (ANDE) fell 4.00 percent to $25.75. Among other equities, Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE) fell 4.34 percent to $11.25. Overall, declines led advances 4 to 1 for the day.
