Shrimp and salicornia ecosystem developed at Texas A&M

In Texas, students at Texas A&M’s Agrilife Research Center have created a system that feeds nutrients from shrimp production into saliconia plants that are later harvested and pressed into oil for biodiesel. The meal byproduct is then fed back to the shrimp for feed.
