Brazil evolves from ethanol importer to exporter

In New York, Brazil has begun exporting ethanol to the US rather than importing it as has been the trend during recent months. So far about 300 million liters have been contracted for export to the US with much of it expected to route through the Caribbean in order to enter duty-free. Brokers say that importers are willing to pay ‘substantial premiums’ in order to ensure their targets.
