Biofuels Digest Index rises to 87.66 despite tough day for ethanol

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, recovered 0.34 percent to 87.66 despite a tough day for ethanol. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) edged up 0.88 percent to $29.80, while Aventine (AVRW) fell 7.14 percent to $13.00. Among other equities, Verenium (VRNM) fell 6.21 percent to $1.51. Declines led advances 3 to 2 for the day.
