San Carlos to restart ethanol production in Philippines

In the Philippines, San Carlos BioEnergy says it will restart its ethanol plant in October at 60% capacity after having been mothballed for a year.

The price of molasses has fallen by nearly half, again making ethanol production economically viable. Expensive feedstock led to the shut down last October.
