July 1, 2011 |

In India, SHK Energy and New York based World Health are looking to form a joint venture for algae production, starting with a five acre site, with plans to expand to over 45 acres in the near term.  The two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, and the site being contemplated already has an infrastructure of pumps and pipes running along a water canal, offering much of the resources needed for algae.  According to their website, SHK Energy’s mission is “To develop and operate reliable and profitable renewable energy projects.”
