Uganda aims for jatropha expansion

In Uganda, President Yoweri Museveni, said at rally in Bukakata that the country would work specifically with the Pegasus Investments to grow jatropha as a way to increase household income.

The jatropha will be used for biodiesel, and  coproducts such as glycerin and charcoal briquettes.  According to Pegasus’ website, they are a Ugandan based company that is working to develop jatropha seedlings for biodiesel production.
