Beef and dairy farmers gained from biofuels mandates: Texas A&M

In Texas, a new study from Texas A&M shows that beef and dairy farmers have benefited financially since the introduction of the Renewable Fuel Standard in 2007, despite claims from industry that they have suffered due to higher feed prices.

The study looked at changes in input and output prices in January 2007 and January 2011 for beef-cow and dairy operations in 12 states, and determined that net cash farm incomes had increased over the period.
