Green Investment Group to convert container mill into biofuels, energy, pellet plant

In Montana, an Illinois investment company, Green Investment Group, Inc., purchased an old container manufacturer west of Missoula, once owned by Smurfit-Stone, in order to turn the 3,200-acre site along the Clark Fork River into a hub for green jobs producing biofuels, bioenergy and wood pellets.

The Company has also purchased seven other Smurfit-Stone sites in the US and Canada for green redevelopment. It anticipates a $5 million initial investment and an overall investment of $40 million in the Frenchtown site.
