Washakie Renewable Energy launches biodiesel plant in Utah

In Utah, Washakie Renewable Energy, a US-based biodiesel producer, has started operations at its new 10-million gallon per year biodiesel production facility in Plymouth.

The plant will use feedstocks including yellow grease, brown grease and tallow, which will be sourced from grease and tallow processing facilities located within 500 miles of the plant. The company plans to expand the plant in the future to include camelina and safflower oil processing.
