Golden Triangle Regional Landfill to produce power from captured methane

In Mississippi, the Golden Triangle Regional Landfill will soon capture methane gas to produce electricity, using engines to be installed by GE Energy.
The Golden Triangle facility is the first to be approved by the Mississippi Public Service Commission, and the Tennessee Valley Authority will purchase the power generated from facility through the 4 County Electric Power Association distribution system.
