Brazil's BNDES bank backs ethanol pipeline project

In Brazil, Logum Logistica SA, a joint venture backed by Petrobras, Odebrecht SA and Raízen, has been awarded a $925.6 million (BRL1.7 billion) bridge loan from Brazil’s development bank BNDES.

The company aims to set up an 826.4-mile (1,330 km) ethanol pipeline with an annual throughput capacity of 21 billion liters of ethanol from the centre-west to the southeast of Brazil.
