October 5, 2011 |

In the Philippines, the government is looking to switch from the production of jatropha to other sources of alternative fuel. Energy Secretary Jose Rena Almendras stated the Philippine National Oil Co. Alternative Fuels Corp. (PNOC-AFC), the biofuels arm of state-owned PNOC, will pursue the development of biofuels produced from non-food crops.
