Shentongroup launches new waste-to-energy system in UK

October 19, 2011 |

In the UK, Shentongroup has launched a new waste-to-energy generator that can run on any combination of diesel, biodiesel, natural gas, or biogas that can then be fitted with a control system that enables any excess electricity to be exported to the national grid.

An option to provide hot water via the Hexpac heat exchanger at the same time as generating electricity turns Duplo into a combined heat & power (CHP) system.  Shentongroup says that this provides commercial or industrial producers with the option of an integrated approach to delivering both prime power and hot water. Systems are available in a range of sizes from 50 kWe up to 2 MWe and over. Smaller Duplo systems are modular, fully integrated systems assembled into ISO containers for increased flexibility and ease of use.
