EPA cites Shell, Exxon Mobil and Morgan Stanley, in widening "fake RIN" affair

In Washington, Reuters is reporting that the EPA has issued 24 notices to more than a dozen companies involved in the selling of fake RINs including Royal Dutch Shell, Exxon Mobil and Morgan Stanley.

The companies were cited for using RINs produced by Clean Green Fuel who has sold 32 million fake RINs. The companies may have to pay civil fines as a result.
