Chevron say expect higher fuel prices with end of ethanol tax break

December 5, 2011 |

In California, Chevron warned its marketers that the ethanol tax break may be coming to an end in the near future. In the notification, the company indicated that higher pump prices are a likely effect for consumers.

“We’ll be sending our dealers a copy of the letter so that they know what’s happening,” said a large Chevron-branded jobber at press-time. “We pass the credit through, so the main effect will be an increase in gasoline prices to dealers and to the public.”
