Rentech completes demo-scale advanced biofuels plant in Colorado

In Colorado, Rentech recently celebrated the completion of a pilot-scale, biorefinery in Commerce City. The facility uses ClearFuels’ process to thermochemically convert a variety of feedstock types including wood waste, agricultural residue, and bagasse into renewable diesel and jet fuel.

The facility is processing 20 tons of feedstock per day and was partially built with funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
