USDA funds 12 flexible fuel pump projects in 8 states

In Louisiana, Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack announced loans and grants for agricultural producers and rural small businesses across the country to implement renewable energy and energy efficiency measures in their operations under REAP.   The USDA is providing $1.95 million  for 12 flexible fuel pump projects in eight states; Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Utah.

For 2011, this brings the total number of flex-fuel projects to 65, with 266 new pumps being installed in 30 states.
