ADM lays off 43 at bioplastic plant in Iowa

In Iowa, following ADM’s January announcement that it had terminated its joint venture with Mirel, ADM has laid off 43 employees at the bioplastic facility in Clinton.  A total of 46 employees remain while ADM reaches a decision of what to do with the plant.  4-Traders quoted ADM’s Vice President and General Manager, Kevin Moore as saying, “It’s a world-class facility capable of producing a variety of products.”
