Bangchak to invest $64M in Laos, Cambodia ethanol

In Thailand, Bangchak Petroleum plans to invest $32.4 million each in 200,000 liter per day ethanol plants in Cambodia and Laos in order to supply the Asian market. The Asian Economic Community goes into effect in 2015.

Domestic ethanol production in Thailand reached 509.6 million liters during 2011, an average of 1.7 million liters per day.
