Bihar state aims to have new ethanol policy by March

February 23, 2012 |

In India, the state of Bihar is finally getting to work on its ethanol policy so that it can come into effect with the new fiscal year in March. The lack of a policy has significantly hindered mills from being able to transport their ethanol and supply oil companies who have already purchased the fuel under the national blending policy. The new state policy is meant to streamline the process so that bureaucratic delays of up to 8 months become a thing of the past.
