Energae to buy, restart idle North Dakota ethanol plant

March 7, 2012 |

In North Dakota, Iowa-based Energae has signed a deal to buy the mothballed ethanol plant in Grafton with sights set to possible re-open the facility this year after it transitions to using sugarbeets as feedstock instead of corn.

The plant shut in 2007 and will undergo refurbishments that will be funded by yet-to-be discovered investors from within the state.
