Global Green Field plans jatropha biodiesel for Nigeria

In Nigeria, the Kogi state government plans to develop a jatropha-based biodiesel plant with the Global Green Field Development Group, a consortium of firms that is in the state to establish the refinery. The government will own 15% of the project. The first phase of the project will engage 400 farmers in the Itobe area to grow jatropha on about 10,000 hectares.
