March 12, 2012 |

In Iowa, Poet breaks ground on Tuesday on its $250 million “Project Liberty” co-located at its ethanol plant in Emmetsburg. The facility is expected to be up and running in between 18 and 24 months. It is expected to use 750 tons of corn cobs and other corn waste from area farms, bringing in between $15 million and $20 million in additional revenue for local farmers, helping to bridge the gap in the “food vs. fuel” debate.
