Energae to meet with growers to seek sugarbeets for ethanol

March 21, 2012 |

In North Dakota, Energae is conducting a meeting with sugarbeet growers on Friday to discuss beet supplies for the former Alchem ethanol plant in Grafton that it recently purchased and will re-open. The company hopes to secure up to 14,000 acres worth of beet to produce up to 14 million gallons of ethanol annually.

Investors meetings last week saw 75 people show up to find out about future plans for re-opening the facility that was shut in 2007.
