In Iran, production will begin soon of sugarcane-based ethanol at the sugar mill in Khuzestan Province’s Haft-Tapeh. The 10,000 liter per day facility will use 12 million metric tons of sugarcane feedstock. Small-scale trials of ethanol production began about six months ago but the mill is preparing to come on-stream with full capacity soon.
