ECS Capital acquires Portugal’s Biovegetal biodiesel for $131M

In Portugal, local private equity fund ECS Capital purchased the 100,000 metric ton per year, Portalegre-based Biovegetal biodiesel company for $131.7 million. The company also bought a 50% stake in a similar sized biodiesel plant near Lisbon called Iberol in 2010. The fund manages more than $1 billion in assets.
