Biofuels Digest Index tumbles to 65.03 as ethanol sags

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, tumbled 0.69 percent to 65.03 as ethanol waned.  For the day, Aventine Renewables (AVRW) fell 10.39 percent to $2.50, while Biofuel Energy (BIOF) dropped 16.33 percent to $0.41.  Among other equities, Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE) recovered 2.29 percent to $7.59.  Overall, declines led advances 8 to 5 for the day.
