US ethanol production on the rise

In Washington, the Energy Information Administration said that US ethanol production rose to 904,000 barrels per day, or 37.97 million gallons per day, up from 897,000 bpd last week; the rolling four-week average moved up to 890,000 bpd, equivalent to 13.64 billion gallons per year. Ethanol producers also generated 101,744 tons of livestock feed and 4.16 million pounds of corn oil per day – from 13.707 million bushels of corn. Overall, ethanol production represents 10.08 percent of current US gasoline demand.
