Biofuels Digest Index drops to 62.28 as ethanol tanks

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, shed 1.63 percent to 62.28 as ethanol tanked.  For the day, Syntroleum (SYNM) plummeted 12.06 percent to $0.67, while BioFuel Energy (BIOF)  bled 17.14  percent to $0.29. Among other equities, Ceres (VERE) lost 13.17 larceny to close at $9.56. Overall, declines led advances 3 to 1 for the day.
