In Canada, BIOX Corporation, the country’s largest biodiesel producer, has signed an agreement with the International-Matex Tank Terminals company to build a new, 26 million gallon (100 million liter) production facility in Bayonne, New Jersey.
Planned to open in December 2013, the facility will be located on the existing IMTT property in the New York Harbor with a long-term land lease agreement and long-term leases on existing IMTT storage tanks. The facility will add 35 full-time jobs to Bayonne, along with 200 temporary construction jobs during the building of the facility.
