In Indiana, NWI Times is reporting that the Lake County Solid Waste Management District Board has given Powers Energy of America a 30-day extension to provide evidence that it can finance its proposed waste to ethanol plant.

The extension was given after Powers revealed that it had received a letter from Marathon Petroleum expressing interest in providing the equity portion of the proposed transaction, in the $50M to $90M range. Powers reportedly did not furnish copies of the letter to the Board or media.
