Maple Energy’s ethanol plant comes online at last

In Peru, Maple Energy’s $280 million ethanol plant has come online and is producing both ethanol and electricity as planned. The facility can produce 37MW of electricity annually, which it expects will be produce sufficient energy for sale come the third quarter of 2012, while it expects its first ethanol shipment to occur in August.
