Toyota to produce ethanol hybrid Prius for Brazil market

In Tokyo, Toyota Motor Corp. announced plans to launch the world’s first hybrid vehicle powered by ethanol later this year in Brazil. The Prius hybrid will be manufactured in Japan and exported Brazil with an estimated fuel economy of 32.6 kilometers per liter (76.7 miles/US gallon).
