Braskem postpones new bio-plastic plants until 2013

In Brazil, Braskem has postponed until 2013 the construction of two sugarcane ethanol-to-plastic facilities that it was planning to build. Its first bio-polypropylene and its second bio-polyethylene plants would have totaled $493 million in investment. Construction was set to begin in the next few months.
