Indian cabinet to at last set ethanol pricing policy

In India, following rises in sugar prices, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs is set to meet this week to finally make a decision on the pricing mechanism for ethanol with expectations that the policy will follow recommendations from the Saumitra Chaudhuri Committee of 41 cents to 56 cents per liter. The Indian Sugar Mills Association wants 61 cents per liter.
