IDC to invest $606 million for biofuel production

In South Africa, the Industrial Development Corporation is jumping back into biofuels investment with a frenzy, committing to put invest $606 million towards the production of 300 million liters per year beginning in 2016. Concerns about feedstocks remain regarding competition with food supplies as well as with water.
