Maryland sets up grease hauling registration system

In Maryland, in an attempt to curb kitchen grease thefts, kitchen grease haulers will now be required to register with the state’s agriculture department via an online registration system. Individuals who haul grease to produce biodiesel solely for their own use are expect from registration. Companies failing to register are liable to land in jail for up to a year and a fine of up to $10,000.
