Bacterial Robotics formed to explore high-value opportunities of bacterial metabolism and cleaning wastewater

September 13, 2012 |

In Ohio, Pilus Energy, a clean water and sustainable energy technology developer harvesting electricity, fuels, gases, and chemicals while cleaning wastewater, announced the unveiling of its parent company, Bacterial Robotics. Jason E. Barkeloo, Pilus Energy’s Founder and President commented, “When Pilus Energy was launched three years ago I knew the application depth and breadth of our inventions would not be fully captured with the wastewater-to-value application. With the launch of Bacterial Robotics, we can now capitalize on our broader synthetic biology technology discoveries.” Pilus Energy is developing economically sustainable alternative clean technology (cleantech) energy solutions. Its Bacterial Robotics provided BactoBot synthetic biology technology is based upon bacterial metabolism that cleans wastewater while producing electricity, important gases, and chemicals.
