Masdar develops jet fuel farm project in Abu Dhabi with support of Boeing, government

In the United Arab Emirates, the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology has been developing a demonstration farm in Abu Dhabi for producing sustainable jet fuel. The project is hoping to acquire 200 hectares of land to grow oilseed plants to convert into biofuels using relatively little water. The project is being funded by Etihad Airways, Boeing, Honeywell and Safran, as well as the Abu Dhabi government.
