October 8, 2012 |

In the UK, Infinergy Technology is seeking planning permission to construct a $19.2 million carbon neutral micro-power station at the Ricall Business Park near Selby. The station will create enough electricity to power 20,000 homes and create a total of 50 new jobs. It will use a biotechnology system patented by Infinergy that uses wood pellets without producing CO2 or toxins. The micro-power station will be the company’s second major project, after constructing a carbon neutral energy plant for Intermet Refractory Products Ltd. in Sheffield.
