Ethanol futures losses finally cut; gasoline premium reaches 31.18 cents

In Illinois, ethanol futures have cut the longest streak of losses in six weeks as gasoline’s premium to biofuel reached 31.81 cents on the Chicago Board of Trade. The widening of the ethanol discount to gasoline made biofuel far more alluring to refiners. Cash market trading has ethanol unchanged in New York at $2.45 per gallon, where the West Coast rested at $2.545.
