Canadian company up for grants linked to US-EU biodiesel fraud

In Canada, a company under investigation for dumping biodiesel in Europe via US exports is set to receive a $65.4 million in government subsidies and is set to become the country’s largest biodiesel producer. Great Lakes Biodiesel is building the facility in Welland, Ont. but the offices of Bioversel Trading, which share offices with Great Lakes Biodiesel, was raided by the Canada Border Services Agency in May regarding the alleged fraudulent trade.
